  • Drivers Education Class - We offer a 60 minute program that teaches the basics of auto insurance.  Starting with power point presentation, students are taught definitions and uses of insurance coverage components in an interactive setting.  How and why coverage may be enhanced and how good driving and life choices effect premium over time.  The session is concluded with an open question and answer session.  Fees: Free to high schools with a 20 mile radius of Oxford, NY.  Over 20 miles but under 51 receive a discount price of $65.  For schools beyond a 51 mile radius of Oxford, NY, other institutions and community groups the fee is $125 for the course and travel is billed at $125/hour one way.   • Vocational Education - DRickard Insurance offers a real life business insurance experience program.  Working with your specific industry in mind our Certified Insurance Counselor comes to your school and teaches your students what the insurance coverage for your industry does.  This is a two hour class.  Then, after our instructor leaves an assignment is given to your students by your instructor telling them acquire appropriate insurance for their new business.  The students do research and call or email DRickard Insurance and after providing a special code, they will be provided an insurance proposal based on their conversation with an insurance agent.  The students then present the various proposals to the vacation school instructor.  Since the conversations are inevitably different with the agent the quotes are also different.  This leads to a good discussion in class.  In some cases the class may want the CIC from DRickard Insurance to return to discuss the reasons for the varying results.  Fees for this real world experience: For up to 25 students in class within 60 miles of Oxford, NY $400 for one CIC visit, add $150 for a second visit, and all location over 60 miles add $125/hour one way for travel costs.

Ultimately you may end up with lower premiums, better insurance coverage, or both.
