What is the difference between your primary, secondary, and seasonal home insurance needs? Please see our definitions page for details.
We do offer secondary home insurance for your frequently, in not weekly, occupied homes in New York State. If you let us handle your primary residence coverage, even if you rent where you live most of the time, we can better coordinate coverage for your personal liability and non-real property insurance coverage.
Seasonal homeowners’ insurance has less coverage that primary or secondary policies. Use this type of policy for a residence that you occupy for short periods of time or a small part of the year. Because of the limited nature of the policy you should have us care for your primary insurance also if at all possible. Any liability coverage provided will be limited to the location only and contents frequently do hot have theft coverage.
We often see these types of homes owned by a corporation or LLC. For most of our insurers this does not pose a problem.
